| Wireless Applications & Mobile Media (WAMM) SIG |
|
The Wireless Applications & Mobile Media (WAMM)SIG aims to support the business and technical interests of the emerging mobile content space. With the interest in mobile content exploding after the launch of the Apple iPhone, the new Microsoft Windows Mobile initiatives, and Google's upcoming Android platform, this SIG intents to explore this rapidly expanding sector. WAMM will explore the business opportunities presented by these new devices running on next generation networks and are a forum for new ideas and innovation. Furthermore, WAMM will examine the technical challenges involved in this new frontier and look at examples of successes in overcoming these hurdles. Finally, we provide a fun and sociable environment to build the relationships needed for success in such a rapidly changing mobile world.
The SIG will meet 5 times per year on alternate months when
there is not a general meeting. We welcome any interest in volunteers, speakers
